This summary report outlines research activities and results, and includes recommendations for improving low-barrier, gender-focused drop-ins and for creating new models of housing support. This is Not Home (TINH) is a community-based, participatory research project that brings together gender-focused, low-barrier drop-in programs serving multiply-marginalized women (cis and trans) and gender-diverse people experiencing homelessness and housing precarity from across Canada. "A lack of trauma-informed, accessible and gender-specific programming coupled with structural oppression creates unique barriers for multiplymarginalized women and gender-diverse people when attempting to access housing and support services."
