This training examines the social and cultural context of Party & Play in gay, bi, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) communities. The interactive training provides foundational knowledge on the use of specific drugs/substances, specifically for sex, which is commonly referred to as Party & Play (PnP) among GBMSM. The session examines the various drugs/substances used, and participants will learn of drugs interactions and harm reduction in PnP. It further explore the importance of the holistic model of bio-psychosocial via a trauma-informed lens. New research provides evidence on the PnP zones of engagement and harm reduction practice to work with GBMSM. Additionally, participants explore various PnP scenarios via case studies, learn of resources, and provide person-centred inclusive and affirming social services and healthcare with an intersectional lens to GBMSM who PnP.

Duration 3 hours. This 1 credit- per- hour Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 3 credits Mainpro+ certified credits.
